Think about upholstered headboards.  They are available in fabric, leather, and suede, in choices of color and tufts.  I really like them because they add a softness to the decor of a room, and you can co-ordinate the style and color with your linen.  The look is very popular in designer magazines.

I took this picture this morning from our showroom- its a fabric, in a beautiful soft and neutral linen color (my fav.)  Also available, is a tufted (with buttons) bonded leather, in white, espresso, and a new mushroom color.  There is also a suede available in taupe.  They are available from Double size to King, and have adjustable legs on them.  Which means you can adjust them quite high for thicker mattresses or if you have a lower mattress set, you can set them at a lower setting.  You can easily connect to a standard rollerframe, or another idea is to connect to a platform wood box style- in which we show under the wood bed category on our website.  The choice is yours.  Most  styles are on display in our showroom.
